What Do People Miss Most About Abeyswyth?
« on: September 11, 2011, 01:53:20 PM »
As an Aber ex-pat, I guess for a long time the thing that I missed most of all was the alcohol, although these days the tremors have mostly subsided and I only occasionally wake up drenched in sweat after vivid nightmares about angels with fishnet stockings and leather dog collars.

Lately, I just have a wistful, melancholy sense that there aren't enough donkeys, ice-creams or all-night hostelries in my life, but a part of me (e.g. large sections of my liver) will remain forever in Aberystwyth.
